Keady Star
2004 Piebald Stallion - 16.0hh

Could Keady Star be the top sire of coloured show and competition horses? We think so! Known at home as Vinny, Keady Star has probably the most laid-back approach of any stallion that we have stood yet maintains the presence and masculinity that a prepotent stallion needs. Standing at 16h makes him the ideal match for the smaller mares to breed up and equally for large mares to breed down. Coupled with incredible, flat bone, low set knees and hocks and elevated movement he is the perfect choice for show, competition and simply a smart all rounder. He is tested double Homozygous which not only guarantees you a coloured foal, it also rules out any Chestnut and White offspring. He is also tested negative for WFFS.

Keady Star’s sire is Goshka Ringo, renowned for his show jumping prowess and his dam is the by the well known Native stallion Apache Warrior. Through this coupling Keady Star carries both performance and native stamina; the perfect combination.

Keady Star has never been broken to ride but as with all good stallions their worth is in their progeny and Keady Star is Mr. Consistant for producing winner after winner at the highest level in the show ring with many winners within the Eventing and competition circles too. Of course these include his graded, Advanced Eventer stallion son Langaller Star Maker.

Passing on his incredible temperament to his offspring makes him very popular with both professional and amateur breeders alike, come and meet him, you won’t be disappointed.
