Langaller Star Maker is one of the homebred stallions at Langaller Farm. He has completed his BE career where he was super consistent in all three phases with wins and top 10 placements at Novice, Open Novice, Intermediate and 2** level. He attained his Advanced status in just three seasons, making one of the very few coloured stallions to have competed at this level.

He spends his winter hunting with many local packs including the Taunton Vale where his natural ability for crossing the country has really come to the fore, jumping hedges, ditches and rails without question. He has regularly carried the huntsman, a role that he relished and he rather liked being important and ‘up front!’. Although settled back in the field on other days, even being a hireling on a few occasions. This past season he has travelled for a few away days where a bold, jumping horse was required and, of course, he rose to the occasion.

He also competed at British Dressage and BSJA, winning in both disciplines proving his exceptional trainability and willing attitude. He is by our renowned, resident homozygous stallion Keady Star, who in turn is by Goshka Ringo.

Keady Star is one of the most prolific coloured sires of competition and show horses of recent years. Langaller Star Maker is out of the ‘I’m A Star’ mare, Loughbeg Marie, making him a half-brother to the SHB GB graded, BE Intermediate stallion, Langaller Starring Role and the Advanced Eventer, Langaller Star Turn who has been regularly placed at 2* level.

I’m A Star is ranked among the best of the Eventing Sires and features in many successful Eventing pedigrees including Mary King’s Star Appeal amongst many others.

Langaller Star Maker was fully graded with Sport Horse Breeding GB as a 4 year old, the same year as his first foals were born. From this first crop he has already sired County show winners and many of them have been snapped up and are destined for ridden Competition careers. His second crop was born in 2018 and all inherit his willing attitude and forward thinking mind set.
